On Trend Tuesday: The Second Look

I know how hard it can be for the newly weds to sneak away for a moment to themselves on their big day, believe me, I do. However, this requires a slightly bigger ask than just a moment as a married couple. To carry out a Second Look, one of the newlyweds would have to sneak away without their partner. Take a look at a few of the ways clients are opting to surprise their crowd with a Second Look.

This is a classic.

However, it has been twisted up a bit! The change in bridal wear between the ceremony and the reception isn’t exactly new. Clients have been opting for shorter, flashier, and overall just more fun outfits to dance their way into married life. Feathered dresses or tied up in bows, even jumpsuits or bridal track suits allow clients to shake what their mama gave them all reception long, but still be the center of attention.

How about a color swap?

Change your lip color from a neutral to a bold red for a more subtle change! Make the swap for some big and flashy earrings. Pop on the colorful shoes or don that black dress you just couldn’t bring yourself to wear during the ceremony!

A change in hairstyles, lip colors, and even dresses aren't dramatic enough for our non-traditional clients sometimes! If you are looking for something a little more drastic - try a haircut between the ceremony and reception! Clients that opt for the drama of the big chop are sure to capture a huge response from their surprise guests - and if they play their cards right - their partner too! Headed somewhere tropical for the honeymoon? Two birds - one stone. You ditched your locks for beach-ready hair! This can be a difficult task to pull off, but if you hire the hairdresser - or have a really trustworthy friend - clients are sure to love your bravery.

Are you brave enough for the Big Chop on your wedding day?
